Five ACES students attended the ACES Jumpstart held on Friday, July 17, 2015 at the SEMO AHEC office in Poplar Bluff. Jumpstart is intended to give new ACES students a head start on their road to a career in healthcare. Topics covered included: ACES orientation and overview, introduction to HIPAA and confidentiality, health literacy, cultural competency, and public health. Students also participated in several hands-on activities which included vital signs and infection control.
