2015 Poplar Bluff MASH Camp for High School Students

High school students from Poplar Bluff, Bloomfield, Dexter, Sikeston, Annapolis, Ellsinore, and Broseley attended the Poplar Bluff MASH Camp on Thursday, August 6 and Friday, August 7 at the Three Rivers College of Nursing & Allied Health.  The first day of camp included the following activities:  an ambulance tour, backboard demo and hands-on activity, a visit to the simulation lab, infection control, proper hand washing, proper gloving, suturing on bananas, micro lab discussion and activity, injections on oranges, venipuncture, and vital signs.  The second day of MASH Camp included:  an Air Evac helicopter tour, CPR training, coordination training by shaving balloons, and a genetics and cow eyeball dissection lab.
