2014 Poplar Bluff M*A*S*H Camp

High school students from Poplar Bluff, Puxico, Essex, Cooter, Steele, and Ellsinore attended the Poplar Bluff High School M*A*S*H Camp on Thursday, August 7, 2014 held at the Three River College Nursing and Allied Health Center.  Camp activities included:  Ambulance tour with backboard demonstration, micro lab discussion and activity, labor and delivery simulation with birthing mannequin,  disclosing tablets, dentistry presentation by Dr. Dan Jackson, infection control, injections on oranges, suturing on bananas, vital signs, CPR, first aid training, professional panel discussion with Kylie Divine, OD, and Paulette Alexander, RN, blood control and splinting simulation, coordination training by shaving balloons, and a genetics and cow eyeball dissection lab.

A very special thank you goes out to the Three Rivers College of Nursing and Allied Health staff for all their hard work on making this camp an amazing experience for all who attended.  We would also like to thank Kylie Divine, OD, Paulette Alexander, RN, and Dr. Dan Jackson for taking time out of their day to speak with our M*A*S*H Camp students.
